How to set up windows in goal cycles?

In this article, you will learn how to set up windows within the goal cycles in Elofy.

Atualizado há mais de um ano

The creation of windows is restricted to users with administrator profiles, to learn more about it, click here.

While creating goal cycles, it is necessary to define windows so that you can set up the boxes that will be available for filling out and other information about the key

results/indicators.

Check below how to configure the windows!

Step 01

Go to Settings > Cycle Settings.

Step 02

Select the cycle you want and click on the editing pencil.

Step 03

In the sidebar click on +window.

Step 04

When you enter the window screen, click on +Window to start the configuration.

Step 05

Follow the steps below to set up a window:

  1. Enter the name of the window;

  2. Enter the start date;

  3. Enter the end date.

NOTE: By activating "end cycle", all OKRs in the cycle window will be hidden. Thus, users will no longer be able to access or create OKRs for this annual cycle. By deactivating, all OKRs will reappear normally.

Step 06

Once you have defined the name and deadline of the window, set the goals that will be part of the cycle.

  1. Objective weight scale: Choose whether the sum of the objective weights should be 10 or 100;

    • NOTE: If you think it necessary, activate the value lock so that users can create only one objective with a fixed value of 10 or 100 in the cycle.

    • Example: when creating a goal, the total value of the scale will automatically appear, not allowing the user to make changes. This occurs so that the user has only one objective for that period.

  2. (Optional) - Default name for target: Choose a default name for the targets created in the window;

  3. Visibility rule and mandatory elements of the OKRs: Choose if the field of co-

    responsible parties and tags will be visible for editing in OKRs.

Step 07

Set up your company's key results:

  1. Key results weight scale: Choose if the sum of the key results weights should be 10 or 100;

    • NOTE: If you think it is necessary, activate the value lock so that users can create only one key result at a fixed value of 10 or 100 in the goal.

    • Example: While creating an objective, selecting a period, and adding a KR, the fixed value of the scale will automatically be shown, not allowing the user to make changes. This happens so that the user has only one KR per period.

  2. Default periodicity of key results/indicators: Choose whether the periodicity will

    be Quarterly, Monthly, Semi-annually, or Yearly. If not defined, users can choose

    the periodicity when creating the KR.

Step 08

Choose which fields are available to be filled in when creating the key results/indicators.

  • Starting Point: If enabled, the user will be able to define where to start from numerically in order to reach the goal;

  • Minimum goal: When enabled, the user will be able to define a minimum acceptable value, in case they cannot reach the goal value;

  • Maximum goal: When enabled, the user will be able to define a maximum acceptable value, in case the goal value is exceeded;

  • Maximum goal 2: If enabled, the user will be able to set a second maximum value, in case they reach the maximum goal;

  • Partial target: If enabled, the user will be able to define, in the check-in section, partial goals for the period of the measurement taken (ex: the goal is 100, but in September, the partial goal is 60);

  • Unit of measurement: This is the acronym that will be used to represent the numerical type of the KR - for example, (Percent: %);

  • Link OKRs: This option enables the possibility of the goal being linked to a company’s driver;

  • Score Type: The qualitative type proposes the score on the evaluation ruler, based on the progress made by the KR, however, the manager may choose the wanted score on the ruler. In the quantitative type, the score in the evaluation ruler is automated and cannot be changed by the manager;

  • Action plan option: If enabled, the user will be able to create KRs of the action plan type - used to identify those key results that need initiatives to be measured;

  • Maintenance: If enabled, the user will be able to create KRs where the goal is a value to be held;

  • Co-responsible: If enabled, the user will be able to add other users as responsible for the goal achievement;

  • Display Factor Column: This option enables the user to link goals to the driver, if this permission is also active in the driver.

NOTE: The visibility and mandatory nature of the minimum goal, maximum goal, maximum goal 2, unit of measure and score type, can be edited separately. In other words, you can define that they are visible, but not mandatory. However, the contrary cannot happen, meaning that they cannot be mandatory without being visible.

Step 09

When you have finished, click Save.
