This article is intended for administrators, employees and managers. If you want to understand more about access profiles, click here.

In order to create OKRs, no specific profile settings are required. However, the level of access to the OKRs query screen will change, as manager users will be able to see those of their subordinates and teams and administrators of the entire company.

To do this, go to: settings > profiles > manager or administrator > OKRs tab. Enable the options "view and edit" in OKRs for the entire company for the administrator, and for team members and accessible teams for the manager.

Don't forget that if the ‘teams and team members’ option is enabled, the Manager will be able to see the data of all team users (team linked to the registration), in addition to accessing the information of the direct team members (employees with the user as manager in the registration), even if they are linked to other teams.

The management model by OKRs aims to establish clear directions for achieving the numbers that indicate the growth of a business.

The objectives provide a clear direction of what the company wants to achieve. Each objective can be formulated not only to make clear what is to be pursued, but also to keep everyone engaged in the mission under consideration.

To make your search easier, we have divided this article into three sections. Click on one of the options below to go straight to what you want to read:

How to create objectives?

NOTE - The process of creating objectives is equal for standard and advanced tracking.

Step 01

Go to + > Objective.

Step 02

Follow the directions below to create the objective:

  1. Alignment to a driver: If you want, align the objective you are creating under a driver, in other words, to an overall objective of your company. The alignment creates only a hierarchical relationship and will not impact progress, since each objective is measured based on its own targets.

  2. Period: Choose the annual period in which you want to breakdown your objective.

NOTE - Once you have selected the period, you cannot change it later.

  3. Cycle: During the year you have selected, your objective will breakdown into how many quarters?

  4. Name: The objective's name is always inspirational, qualitative, clear and direct. It can be bold, or not, and defines your vision. Where do you want to go?

  5. Description: Add context so that others understand why the objective was created and how it will broadly help the company.

  6. Type of objective: Individual (viewable only on the profile page of the responsible person), Team (all collaborators of the selected team can view it on their profile pages), or Shared (ability to select more than one team, so collaborators can view the objective on their profiles).

  7. Responsible person (individual type): The objective to be created will always have as its responsible person the user who is performing the creation, but this information can be changed by selecting another collaborator.

  8. Team: The team will always be the one the user able to register is allocated, but this information can also be changed.

  9. Weight: When setting the objective weight, remember that if your company sets it the sum of your objectives cannot exceed 10 or 100. If you create two objectives, for example, each one can only weigh 5 or 50.

Step 03

Click on finish to end the objective creation, or on forward to create key results directly linked to the created objective.

How to Edit Objectives?

Step 01

Go to OKRs > OKRs.

Step 02

In the OKRs screen, use the menu to filter the objective types you are looking for:

Step 03

Once you have filtered it, select the objective you want to edit and click on its name.

Step 04

In the side tab, you can access the objective's details, in addition to editing it quickly and efficiently.

1 - Name: You can change the name of the objective.

2 - Description: You can edit the description of the objective.

3 - Responsible and Co-responsible person: If you want, edite the responsible or add co-responsible persons - you can only edit them if they have not yet been evaluated in the cycle corresponding to the objective.

4 - Priority: You can set an objective as strategic for the company.

NOTE: If the responsible party has not yet been evaluated in the cycle corresponding to the objective, you can edit this field.

5 - Type: If you want, you can change the type to the shared or team type.

6 - Team: You can define another team to which the objective will be allocated.

7. Feeling: Sentiment on whether or not the objective will be accomplished: it won't be reached, almost there or it will reach.

8 - Cycles: Change the cycle quarters that the objective is part of.

9 - Tags: If you want, add tags, in other words, hashtags to group your objective with others.

10 - Weight: Change the objective's weight in your strategy and click on Confirm.

11 - Status: Editable, if the company chooses the manual status option and not editable, if the company has set the automatic status.

Also, in the side tab, you can access the Timeline tab, which acts as a communication channel for that objective. There you can see the latest measurements of the Key Results for the objective, edits and comments on the progress of the work.

Using the Filter, you can divide the measurements from the Key Results, comments and logs, in other words, edits made to the objective. See below:

You can also edit the objective by accessing the details screen.

Step 01

Click on Access Objective.

Step 02

On the details screen, you can edit the following information:

a) Objective’s name.

b) On the right you can access the panel for editing the objective's characteristics: description, responsible person, co-responsible person, priority, objective type, team, tags, and weight.

How to disable objectives?

Step 01

On the OKRs screen, click on the objective you wish to disable.

Step 02

On the side screen that will be displayed, on the general tab, disable it.
