There are two methods of assigning positions to successors, therefore, this article has been divided into two sections. Click on one of the options below to get straight to what you want to read:

Assignment via the Succession Screen

Step 01

Go to Career > Succession.

Step 02

Select the ‘By successors’ view.

The screen will show all the users who have been assigned as successors to a position, as configured on the positions screen.

Step 03

By clicking on the name of an employee, a side screen will open, showing the user's data and succession.

Step 04

In the succession tab, click on the + icon to add a succession position and fill in the information, as follows.

  • Position: Choose the succession position for the employee.

  • Readiness: Definition of the level of readiness, at that moment, for the position.

  • Comment: Enter, if you want, comments about the employee.

Click on save.

Step 05

Once added, you can later delete the succession position by clicking on the ‘Trash can’ icon.

Assignment via the N-box Screen

Step 01

Go to Career > 9box.

Step 02

In the N-box screen, filter by the wanted evaluation cycle to analyze the employees.

Step 03

Once filtered, the N-box will show you the evaluated employees according to their performance in each quadrant.

Click on the quadrant that you believe has employees suitable for succession.

Step 04

A side screen will appear with the employees' names. Click on the intended one.

Step 05

First, define whether the employee is a key employee or/and a talented employee in your company.

  • Key employee: Key employee refers to the individual involved in some way with the company's activities and results, whose functions impact the business's future;

  • Talented employee: Talented employee refers to those professionals who stand out because of their sense of responsibility, as well as through their skills and performance, and therefore should be recognized in the company.

Then go to the "succession" tab and add succession positions, as previously explained.

And that’s it!!
